Jared A. Jacobson, Esq. is a member of Jared Jacobson Law, LLC, (“JJ Law”) and has extensive experience providing counsel to individuals, entrepreneurs, closely held and public companies in the areas of labor & employment, corporate & business/transactional, healthcare, sports & entertainment and real estate transactional legal matters. Jared has worked with clients in industries including real estate, hospitality, healthcare, banking, sports & entertainment, public relations, marketing, advertising, education, food distribution and manufacturing and retail. Much of the transactional work Jared handles includes negotiating employment agreements and severance packages on behalf of individuals/executives, consulting agreements/independent contractor agreements, vendor agreements, operating/partnership agreements, confidentiality, restrictive covenant & non-disclosure (NDA) agreements, commercial leases, talent and management agreements, endorsement contracts, sponsorship agreements, waivers and various types of releases, loan and security agreements and promissory notes, retail and commercial leases and agreements of sale and purchase/sales agreements including stock purchase and asset purchase agreements.
Supplementing his transactional background, Jared has extensive experience in state and federal employment litigation and whistleblower matters involving Government Fraud pursuant to the False Claims Act (FCA) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), as well as working with the US Attorneys’ Office, various states’ attorney generals, US Department of Justice (DOJ), administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), US Department of Labor (DOL), Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR) and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC).
Prior to founding JJ Law in 2009, Jared began practicing law in New York at Sidley Austin LLP (former ally Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, LLP and Moses & Singer LLP in their Corporate, Securities and Mergers & Acquisitions Departments, as well as with Wyndham Worldwide Corporation and Feed Your Soul, LLC. Jared also worked briefly at a management-side Labor & Employment law firm.
Jared currently serves as Senior Counsel and Board Member to The Warrior Flow Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit that brings the benefits of movement, therapeutic and accessible yoga, mindfulness, and stress reduction tools to schools, homeless shelters, hospitals, police departments, first responders, and hospice care facilities.
Previously, Jared served for several years as a volunteer, Board Member and Legal Advisor to The Hoboken Homeless Shelter, a 501c3 non-profit, and street outreach volunteer at the New York Coalition for the Homeless.
Jared is a member of the Board of Advisors for the St. John’s Center for Labor and Employment Law in Queens, New York, is a trained New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) Mediator, has been included on the roster as a R. 1:40 Qualified New Jersey State Court Approved Mediator, has sat as a Arbitrator at the Philadelphia Arbitration Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and as an Arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (EDPA).
